Tesla is accelerating production of its all-electric Semi truck at its Nevada factory, with the facility capable of producing up to 50,000 trucks annually.
CEO Elon Musk says the Semi could transform heavy-duty trucking with long-range capabilities, fast charging and lower operating costs compared with diesel trucks. Tesla is also expanding its megawatt charging network as deliveries are set to begin later this year.
