Many in Washington are expecting a blue wave election this year. But are Democrats overestimating their chances of taking both chambers of Congress?
The Hill’s Washington correspondent Drew Petrimoulx and Decision Desk HQ’s Chief elections analyst Geoffrey Skelley discuss how Democrats need to net four Senate seats to take the majority in the midterm elections. North Carolina appears to be their best chance of winning a seat, but races in seats held by Republicans in Maine, Ohio, Texas and Iowa are also seen as toss-ups.
Democrats are defending seats in two other races listed by Cook as toss-ups in Michigan and New Hampshire.
