Happening now: Trump Gives Joint Address To Congress

President Trump, emboldened by over a month of overhauling spending and the federal workforce paired with policy moves and sweeping executive orders, is set to give his first major address before a joint session of Congress Tuesday evening.

Trump’s Cabinet secretaries, Supreme Court justices, House and Senate lawmakers and potentially his senior adviser, the controversial Elon Musk, are preparing to be his live audience. The White House also invited a slew of guests that are intended to highlight the president’s first six weeks in office.

Trump is expected to tout his actions to reshape the government, crack down on immigration and reorient U.S. foreign policy on the heels of an Oval Office spat with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

His remarks are expected to begin at 9:10 p.m. EST.
