President Biden will host the 2024 NBA Champions, the Boston Celtics, at the White House Tuesday afternoon.
The Celtics, who beat the Dallas Mavericks in the last game with a score of 106-88, secured their 18th championship win in June. With the latest win, Boston overtook the Los Angeles Lakers as the team with the most wins in league history.
After their win, Biden posted on social platform X, sending his congratulations.
“Congrats @celtics, the 2023-2024 NBA Champions and now the all-time NBA leader with 18 titles,” he wrote at the time. A true legacy of excellence.”
The event is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. EST.
