The Trump administration is stepping up its election integrity efforts ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
The Department of Justice announced charges against 10 foreign nationals in Minnesota accused of illegally voting or falsely claiming U.S. citizenship to vote. The cases involve elections in 2022, 2024 and Minnesota’s August 2026 primary.
The DOJ is also preparing to deploy about 1,000 federal election monitors during the midterms.
