The House of Representatives passes the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026 in a 262-159 vote.
The legislation expands sanctions targeting Russia and Iran and includes additional tariff authority targeting countries that purchase Russian energy.
The bill now heads to President Trump’s desk.
Meanwhile, House Speaker Mike Johnson announces an early recess as lawmakers prepare for the midterm elections. Johnson says lawmakers remain on 48-hour notice to return to Capitol Hill if needed.
